Finding a Way: Negotiation Tips and Tactics

Community Notes

Negotiation can be an intimidating and overwhelming process for many librarians. This session will provide an opportunity for attendees to discover what it takes to find realistic win-win solutions to negotiations with vendors. Librarians, lawyers and vendor representatives will discuss differences in perspective and approaches to achieving successful negotiation outcomes. Specific topics will include legal and negotiation language, how to identify common ground, approaches to negotiation, examples of leverage and more.
